Want Ad - Medina County Oral Health Coalition, Inc., Seeking New Committee Members and Board Members

Calling for volunteers and board members for the Medina County Oral Health Coalition!

While the Medina County Oral Health Coalition is an organization separate from the Medina County Dental Society, its goals are consistent with Medina County Dental Society’s objectives of advocacy, community service, and education.

The Medina County Oral Health Coalition, Inc., was formed in October 2001 by a group of local community representatives. The purpose of the Coalition is to promote oral health and improve access to oral health services for all people in Medina County. The Coalition was recognized in January 2005 as a non-profit 501(c)(3).

The Coalition was instrumental in opening the Dental Services Department at the Medina County Health Department on October 29, 2003, and continues to pursue educational programs and fundraising opportunities to maintain these valuable services for Medina County Residents.

Volunteers for Coalition functions (or in the capacity of board members) can be from any walk of life - homemaker, attorney, college student, plumber, retired, social worker, etc. One does not need to know anything about dentistry. The Coalition is focused on Medina County needs. Board meetings are 2 times a year, with one meeting in fall and one in spring. The Coalition hosts at least one fundraiser per year, as well as other educational programs for the community.

If you’re interested in volunteering on the committee or board, please contact Dr. Kathy Brisley-Sedon at kathy.brisley@gmail.com or 330-416-6558.
